Reading Intervention
Using the Barton Reading and Spelling program: a systemic, targeted, orton gillingham approach, I aim to fill in the gaps for struggling readers. This intervention provides additional strategies and activities to boost reading skills in the areas of decoding, comprehension, fluency and vocabulary for struggling readers. Using this program, and meeting 1:1 for one hour twice per week my students gain an average of 2 grade levels per school year, closing the gap quickly and efficiently.
Does your child struggle with focus, attention, staying on the line while reading? If so, brain integration may be a helpful approach for them.
